Making a Difference

Thank you for your interest in the Missouri WAHMfest™, a celebration of Work At Home Moms. We believe the role of Mother is the proudest occupation in the world. However, we also understand, from experience, that moms often need something "for themselves" - and many have a desire to feel that they are contributing materially to their family's well-being. WAHMfest™ is dedicated to helping moms stay at home with their children and still be able to fulfill their own needs, as well. WAHMfest™ brings moms (potential, to-be, current stay-at-home or professional!) and business, part-time and volunteer opportunities and helpful business resources together!

WAHMfest™ has a twofold mission:
1. To help mothers (and fathers) fulfill their goal of staying home with their families by connecting them with helpful business resources and legitimate work-at-home or "alternative," flexible opportunities and
2. To help promote mother (and father)-owned businesses through "live" exhibitions, on-line promotion and networking.

The Missouri WAHMfestâ„¢ will be held on August 24th & 25th, 2002 at the Independence Center, I-70 & 291 North Hwy, Independence, Missouri, from 10am to 9pm, Saturday & noon to 6pm, Sunday. Join us for our event at the biggest & busiest mall in Kansas City and take advantage of their tremendous back-to-school sales!

Don't forget to register for our hourly prize drawings! Win a spin on our prize wheel!

Here is a listing of a few of our presenters: Cheryl Gochnauer, local author of "So You Want to be a Stay-at-Home Mom," and columnist on DrLaura.com, Darla Arni, parenting expert from FOX 4TV, Ann Butenas, talk show host from KCXL 1140AM, Sara Bass owner of Coaching Crossroads, a personal and professionl business coach and Ariana Reed, entreprenuer and owner of MomsWin, www.momswin.com.
